A tribute to the forgotten Victims and Veterans of WW2<\/span><\/h1>\n
WW2 was the most widespread war in history, and directly involved more than 100 million people from over 30 countries. At the end it resulted in an estimated 50 million to 85 million fatalities. These made World War II the deadliest conflict in human history.<\/span><\/h5>\n

Beeing a WW2 Military Vehicle collector is due to this fact a „heavy weight“ – we have allways to remember „the story behind“ our vehicles and have a kind of „special responsibility“ we should be aware of.<\/p>\n

Respect for the victims, the veterans and their relatives is part of that heritage as well as keeping up the memory of WW2 for generations to come – to prevent mankind from the deadly mistakes of our past.<\/p>\n

During the last years I did some research on the previous owners of some of my collectibles from WW2 and contacted some relatives of them – to find out more about those „forgotten Veterans“.<\/p>\n

In addition I tried to find out more about my German part of the family, that was involved in WW2 as civilians and as well as officers and soldiers in the Wehrmacht – partwise pressed to duty against their will and killed in action after beeing sentenced to serve in a „Strafbattalion“ as cannon fodder.<\/p>\n

There are so many untold and nearly forgotten WW2 stories – and some of them became part of my research, that started as a small sideshow project in the year 2000.
